作者繪者：Laurence Anholt

Laurence 於1959年生於英國，他的作品超過200本，從圖畫書到青年小說皆有，創作範圍很廣。他的作品被翻譯成30多種語言。他的圖畫書皆以詭異手繪的水彩風格聞名，充滿樂觀及幽默感。這幾年他也寫青少年小說。 他於2017年得獎的小說 The Hypnotist(催眠師) 是討論種族與文化的議題，得到國際特赦組織的讚揚。他的繪本 ”Chimp and Zee ”、”Snow White and the Seven Aliens” 及 ”Serious Silly Stories” 等也皆是得獎作品。

他畢業於 ”Royal Academy of Art” 學校，他目前住在英國西南部的 Devon。

他以 7 位藝術家的生活為題材，畫出七本藝術家繪本，包括梵谷、達文西、竇加…等人，是引領孩童進入藝術領域的啟蒙書籍。這是系列書中的其中一本。
